They have all the factors that makes objects ingame sinkable.
The question is... Do they have hitpoints aswell? Im talking about icebergs. Cause i'd sell my soul to the devil to see one capsizing! ![]() |

45000 tons per iceberg, 10000 hitpoints though. Of course that is editable if you really must see an iceberg capsizing and sinking.

Icebergs are impossible to sink in GWX, but I think a load of torpedoes in stock can sink one. If I ever saw one..

![]() Now, can anyone make a brief tutorial about how am i supposed to do it? ![]() PS: Just to know, whats the variety of hitpoints in ships? (Ex Large Tanker = 100hp, Trawler = 20hp, a torp hits for 50 when hit amidships. Like that) |

Download silent editor then look in your silent hunter folder under data -> sea and you'll find folders relating to various icebergs, inside there you'll find a .zon file for the iceberg where you can alter it's hit points. Also if you look into data -> library you'll find .zon and .sim files for your torpedoes so if you wish you can alter their speed and power. This is the origin of the famous nuclear torpedo. |

Wouldn't that be a nightmare. Have a special "Nuke" torpedo and in the heat of a massive battle loose all your torps except it. For 6 hours you've played cat and mouse, been chased by a Destroyer that just won't give up, so you load up that last fish and LOS! The explosion leads to a tremendous celebration followed quickly by:
"Oh Crap!!!" That is the epitome of my luck.

Being blown sky high by your own weapon is never nice! Abit like that nuclear mortar the US army created. The explosive range of the warhead was greater than the range of the launcher! So the crew and any men fighting nearby had to dig in deep, cover their eyes and pray. If they didn't become irradiated directly then they got it from wind born particles. Nasty.... |
