When the video card went terminal it must have gone haywire and sent bad signals to the monitor, triggering the "refresh rate over limit" message from the monitor.
Usually when you see that message, it means as was said, that the video refresh rate being set to the monitor is beyond what the monitor is capable of, so the monitor will block the video feed (to protect itself) and post that error. |
