Default bow torpedos damaged

I cruised into my patrol area and suddenly heard the sound and breaking glass. Someone said that the boat was taking damage. It was in deep, open water and no ships near. I checked for damage and saw none, and blithely put the boat back on course. I encountered a merchant and painstakingly set up for an attack. When I tried to fire the bow torpedoes, my crew said they could not fire due to bow tube damage. What a friggin waste of time. The boat showed no damage!! I ended the patrol sailing 3,000 miles to Pearl Harbor, and gave the Admiral and the creators of SH4 hell, and demanded a refund. How did this happen? (RFB with RSRDC with TSAC mod.)

I saw that episode, Webster. Kirk handled it just like I attack merchants. Fire six torpedoes in a massive spread and pray!

Your humor is appreciated, too.

I wonder if you hit a small scholl that was too small to see on the map until you zoom in. That has happened to me. There are lots of those scattered about.

Very, very interesting. Perceptive, too. I had not thought of that possibility. Hey, my boat is looking for a new skipper.....You looking for a transfer?

I have to wonder too. I'm in the middle of a patrol. Earlier, I dove to about 350 feet and was not paying enough attention and scraped bottom. The crew reported taking damage, but there is nothing visible and no problems thus far... We'll see.

Also be wary of small scholls hidden under your objective star. I have blithly had my navigator plot the standard search pattern within my circle only to hit a damn scholl hidden there.
