Like I already mentioned in the sticky, WAC3.0 water should work if env files, scene.dat and cloud files are used from wac. Import other units from wac to other mods is a lot of work because GWx for example did change the ship classes, etc. Also id is needed to import teh new units into the campaign.

Also adding ships makes them appear in random encounters, i.e. convoys, but for them to appear in ports each and every one has to be scripted in. A quick look at the Campaign.scr file with the Mission Editor will give you an idea of how much work HanSolo78 and the GWX guys had to do to get their respective mods where they are now.
