I've never played a mission. Having to find, track, and intercept a target is a lot more gratifying, IMO.

Loading a career takes 20 minutes for me, so I really don't have the patience to spend 30% of my SH3 time loading.

As posted above
Adding in blank campaign files or the GWX online campaign set - http://files.filefront.com/GWX3+onli.../fileinfo.html - will speed up loading for single missions a whole lot

My little boy plays the single missions. He loves them.

It's kinda tough to upgrade laptops .

Also in tough times like this, money is much better spent on real concerns - not toys.

Checkers rocks though !

Usually I at least try the more interesting ones but I have to agree those load times are just killer!

Has anybody managed to save the "BREAK"? I just gave it another go and no matter how hard I try by the time I get close enough to unload my torpedo's the "break" is already broke.

True, but they are good practice when you don't have much time, and a lot of them are fun. Witness Jim's mission with the tankers and the blimp (Curacao?).

From the Curacao Text Doc:

Quote:
Curacoa Lifeline
Aug 42....You are in command of an IXC in the Caribbean when intelligence warns you of a small but fast convoy of approx 6 large tankers which recently left the oil refining port of Curacoa.
It is believed they are headed south east toward the La Cruz channel choke point prior to heading east out of the Carribean and into the Atlantic.
You are positioned in the 12km wide channel north west of La Cruz....surely a prime position.
Do not let them escape into the Atlantic.

Airship Escort:

Quote:
Briefing....American waters, October 1942 The Americans are now using convoy tactics to counteract the success of Operation Drumroll. You are patrolling south of New York City in shallow water less than 20km off the coast while awaiting any convoys heading your way. You already know to be especially cautious about aircraft this close to the U.S. coast....
Early Christmas Present:

Quote:
Briefing...The Caribbean, December 1943 The Commander-in-Chief of the U.S. Navy, Admiral King, mindful of the success that the Allies are now having over the U-boat menace in the Atlantic as well as the pressure on U.S. naval forces in the Pacific, is transferring some sorely needed reinforcements from the Atlantic Fleet to the Pacific Fleet via the Panama Canal. You and your crew have had a meager tally of spoils in the southwest Caribbean thus far. Is Christmas about to come early?PRIMARY OBJECTIVES Sink the aircraft carrier Sink the battleship Sink the cruisers
