Default The circular convoy

So, anyone has any idea what is this?
I ve got a report for it and it hit dead center on the "Curiosity" section of my brain.
Although, the weather is something more than wild (10m waves ftl) so its nearly impossible to catch up with it...

EDIT: I caught up with it ultimatelly but the weather is so bad that the ships are almost flying over the waves!http://img142.imageshack.us/my.php?image=wtfdb5.png

EDIT2: Yes... I play at only 84% Realism...

if you mean the contact report showed up on the map as a circle... it is a convoy which is under attack by friendly U-Boats.

usually... they have all been run off or sunk by the time you get there though.

I believe that GoldenRivet is correct. If you sight the convoy and the U-boats are sunk, the contact becomes a square, as do later B-Dienst position reports.

The contact is circular and the convoy is not alerted...
So that means that the other uboat is gonna help too?

if the weather conditions are stormy and visibility is poor, they probably just have not seen each other yet.

if the weather conditions are good, and the convoy does not seem alerted i believe this means that an enemy sub is part of the convoy

you might check he manual for circle convoy symbols

What it means is the lead ship position of the the convoy (front row center) is being occupied by an enemy submarine.
