Default War Leaders: Clash of Nations

Just read about this game few minutes ago and it seems like a real treat! It is supposed to be somekind of an mix of Hearts of Iron and the Total War series.

Quote:
War Leaders: Clash of Nations is the most comprehensive PC game of all times on the subject of the Second World War. A game that all strategy fans have been waiting for which allows you to slip in the roles of the seven most important real Leaders of the war and to control all determining aspects of a big war!!!

Players can experience a gigantic variety of gameplay by playing two clearly differentiated but integrated MANAGER part (a turn-based MANAGER part with construction of armies, development of technology, establishment of diplomatic and trading agreements, etc ) & an RTS part (dramatic and visually amazing RTS battles, with hundreds of units in wonderful landscapes staged all around the world with very innovative game mechanics ). The game offers 250 different units, 41 different maps, all the nations and 175 regions along the entire world to explore and use.
  • Most complete WWII game ever produced (contemplates all implied parties, war units, …)
  • Unique combination of a Manager and a RTS on a single game, providing tones of diverse game-play mechanics.
  • Total freedom of action being able to change the course of WWII History.
  • Outstanding 3D visual appearance wint unseen visual effects & qualities on both MANAGER and RTS interfaces.
  • Multiple plots of true & “fake” Historic appearance.
  • Deep Manager, including resource management, diplomacy, research, buildings management, etc,…
  • Variety of game modes (Free Campaign, Multiplayer, RTS Battles,…)
  • True War Leaders, Generals & Heroes performing on different stages of game.
  • Historic and prototype units for each country, some real, some really unique and new.
  • 41 different maps on RTS, “atmosphering” all corners of the world.
  • Vast and detailed scenarios on RTS, including a great variety of buildings, props and detailed plant life.

As I read more about it, I got the picture that the RTS part of the game isnt like in, for example, the TW series, i.e. that you move to a province/sector and the RTS battle begins. But it's implemented so that you can play the 57 battles as single missions ala C&C's skirmish.

The campaign then will be only played on the strategic world map view.

Will need to wait for the reviews to check if I got that right.

I think its TW style, mate
I've been watching a Spanish review on youtube and it mentions
''when you move an Army and it meets an enemy army in the same territory you will fight it on the 3D battlefield''

http://es.youtube.com/watch?v=AlmyE7AVdEg
(spanish language, but perhaps the video can give you the idea)

I have also been looking at this one, and the battles look very arcady to me.
