The only thing that's funny about this is that certain people are so shallow that they actually believe that questioning our nation's leadership should result in a man being destroyed ... the funny part is that those same people just got done bashing Bush.

I think it has to do with Mr. Plumber being a vapid and cheap political gimmick more than anything else.
