You'll find the whole GWX team changing gear to GWX 4. They've stated a number of times that GWX 3 Gold is the final release.

The Lancaster was erroneously included as an American heavy bomber in SH4, so with a little work it can be modded in for SH3. I will look into it after I'm finished with the Merchant Fleet Mod.

It's historically accurate to have them - No. 44 Squadron and No. 61 Squadron were two Lancaster units attached to Coastal Command, and there may have been more.

They stated that GWX 2.1 would be the final release. :rotfl:

I'm eagerly awaiting GWX 3.5 Platinum Edition.

True, but only for a seven week period from mid-June 1942 (including one support operation by 50SQN).

After 61SQN lost its fourth Lanc in 24 hours, Harris effectively put a stop to it. Losing 4 Lancs (31% of total loaned) for only 3 U-boat losses wasn't considered a viable use of Bomber Command aircraft!

I think their greater value in SH3 would be as a port bomber. Attacks against the Graf Zeppelin and Tirpitz were undertaken by Lancs. Many port bombings, and later in the war targetted U-boat bombings within ports, were undertaken by Lancs.

Denis did a Lanc model (or SH4 conversion? Not sure) - I had it in my SH3 install until I deleted it all a few months ago. It carried (perhaps unintentionally) a RAAF Squadron's colours.

Avro Manchesters would be nice - one could argue their inclusion over other plane types that have been included.

There are already models of Spits and Lancs as well as a Blenheim out there

Adding to your own install is fairly simple
If you fancy doing so and get the aircaft will help you there no problem
