Badarse Thread

Anyway, a thread for those badarses that blow your mind with their bravery, craziness or outright stupidity...

I saw a FB post on this Badarse and thought I would start a thread. I never read about him, probably because he's a Brit.

BTW, your spelling of 'Bad-arse' is the correct British spelling, as opposed to your American 'Bad-ass' which is essentially a naughty donkey.

one of those people who are quite fearless and also, at times, quite ruthless, a potential berserker. Your Longbow bit brought him to mind as if I recall correctly he used a crossbow at times.

Simple rule of thumb: If the language bot lets it go then it's okay to use. If not, then don't use it or try to get around it. I'm old enough to remember when "hell" and "damn" were edited in books and not used on television at all.

Well you never said you wanted it closed down in what was supposed to be your last post.(Unless you PMed it.) Also isn't there a policy of not shutting down non-spam accounts unless they're spam in case the owners of the accounts return?

Yeah that is a a movie and the idea that only 300 Spartans alone where at Thermopylae is well a myth there where around 5,200 total Greeks or 7,400 depending on which Greek historian you read.The final day was a delaying action.

Even in the last day at least 700 Thespians stayed to fight along side the Spartans.

I agree that the Spartans where the best hoplites pound for pound in Ancient Greece but there is a bit too much legend surrounding them that is taken as truth.

I think the real Spartans would think that the movie 300 as some sort of insult they did not fight like that at all.

Soldiers and Marines in Korea did the same thing Spartans "did" nearly all the time sometimes only one or two men staying behind to allow their allies to retreat sometimes facing hundreds of Chinese now that takes balls because more than likely you are not going to survive but you comrades will.How many of those guys have you heard of?

A real certifiable badarse hands down Alexander the Great.
