This is it!

Just above Scotland,

Just finished off a fat cargo ship and its still early war (39). I dive to 15m to reload torpedoes and I get a hydrophone contact, I know I should of checked but heat of the moment, I went after it. On the way I reloaded tubes 1-3.

I get within 5000m and surface its a warship (no doubt it was sent after me the RAF failed) and not just any warship a A&B warship. He caught me well off guard, I gave the order to dive to PD. Set speed to 1 knot, it was dark and calm, I was like a ghost.

I watched his every move, he was zig-zagging meaning he knew I was in the area, but his search lights were looking around meaning he'd lost me.
He was closing. My sonar guy still had no clue there was a ship in the area so I pointed it out to him.

He was about 1000m away when I made my move, using manual I made a quick check of his bearing and zig-zag pattern and used it to fire a steam right at him. It missed, he'd seen it and moved at the last second and the eel missed by no more than 10m.

He now knew we were there, somewhere.
*ping*ping*ping*ping*
I did a quick, but clever, correction to the eel's course. I then fired tubes 2 and 3 then ordered a crash dive while lowering the periscope. No-where to run now, the waiting game begins.

20m
*ping*ping*
30m
*ping*ping*
40m
*ping*ping* one hits but does not explode, one left.
50m
*pi-* "Torpedo impact" "Shes going down"
Surface the boat.

That one got my heart pumping.
I guess the score now is:
"Black widow"(U-46) 1 - 0 British navy
Today is a good day

Oh, in other threads you say you have played the game since it came out.

And that you play GWX at 100%

And that you sink battleships with your flack guns after killing everything in sight with your "eels".

And that you escape destroyers by passing through the two sinking halves of flaming merchants.

So I just thought an A&B would be in a day's work for you.

I was yawning with you. Must be strenuous, all that.

Yeah but in all that I was the one attacking, other than that it's because it was a more "realistic" career, not a warship hunting one
(Nearly got the hood in that one though hit her with two steams but had to split too many escorts)

P.s. Never sunk anything with the flak (except a few planes)

Right, I remember now. You take out 16 inch guns with flak, then sink the BB with your deck gun. At 100% GWX.

You know, a bunch of us have played the game for years. I am by no means an expert, but even I can smell bogus ... why don't you give it a rest?
