Default [REL] Speedy Typewriter

This small sound mod is JSGME ready (really). Just drop the folder into your Mods folder and enable it. Or, if you know how, you can easily copy and paste this file into the Data\Sound\Menu folder. Be sure to back up any files you want to keep, because this file will overwrite the existing .wav file.

Basically, this file provides a better sounding typewriter for the pre-mission part of the campaign when you get your patrol orders. Does not work in single missions or patrols, only in the campaign. So, anytime text is being written on the screen, this .wav file will kick in.

When the 1.1 patch came out, I believe, it screwed up the typewriter sound in a bad way. So, I'm gonna screw it up in a good way. Instead of this:
tap ---------- tap ----------- tap ------------ tap ----------- tap ------------ tap,

which sounds kinda lame to me and doesn't synchronize with the text being written on the screen, you'll hear this:

tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap.

Sounds MUCH better I think. There are some tonal differences in the tapping (i.e. sounds like 2 different typewriters), but it is a very small flaw and if you can make it better, be my guest. You have the Greenlight for improvement.

Think of it as a more experienced Yeoman taking over in the Squadron Operations office.

No bugs in file. Submitted as-is. Any problems, let me know. And (of course), use at your own risk.

LOL - another major bug squashed

Actually, this is cool - I love the way even the seemingly smallest detail can be addressed and improved in this game. Great work - I'm looking forward to trying this out

Default Every little bit helps

It's very surprising how the smallest thing adds to the immersion. Thanks for the work, trimzeke

On a side note: Did you know you can speed up the typing just by clicking on the orders sheet?
