Currently, when we are given the option to rearm and refuel, this is done instantaneously and we are set to put to sea again, when in reality rearming & refueling took much longer than this. Are there any settings in the game that control how long it takes for a refit to complete?

I remember asking this to Ducimus a while ago. I cant find the thread, but there was an answer of someone who's uncle (still alive) served on one of the fleet boats. He said it would take approx 6 hrs to reload the torps and refuel. What he did, and what I did eversince, was tc 6 hrs after a "refit" being all stopped. This needs some discipline from the player, but it comes from someone who's been there, so it must be an accurate time.
Hope it helps. Bando |

Dick O'Kane wrote that they did a Midway (outleg) refitt in 4 hours or less. Crew did not even get time off the boat.

I already at least changed my menu to say "Refuel and rearm" instead of "refit."
That makes me feel better about it taking little (no) time ![]() |

Thanks for the great ideas folks. In RFB 1.29 I've adjusted the menu.txt file to the following:
3623=Refuel and rearm 3624=Refuel and rearm initiated (please remain in port for at least four hours). 3625=Refuel and rearm failed. This changes the notation as Tater suggests and it asks the player to stay in port for at least four hours as per Bando and Mav87th's suggestions.

Hehe yeah RFB 1.29 is not ready for public consumption yet. I just figured I'd share the setting locations and show how I've changed it if others wanted to do something similar.

Trouble is that you can refuel and re-arm outside the port provided you are within the required distance. Now is it possible to delay this option until the boat is actually docked therefore having to actually be in port to do so?
