I'm still leery of installing anything with JUST "Microsoft" in it! :P

Not touching IE7 with a cattleprod.

1.) It still has active X, which is a really bad concept and needs to go away.

2.) Its in beta, hence its full of bugs, more so then the umpteen thousand that will be in on release.

3.) Every tom, dick, and harry, cracker, virus writer, script kiddie, and any other nafarious nouns i can think of are going to be all over IE7 like a pack of dogs on a 3 legged cat.

I wonder if you have "Dial whenever a network connection isn't present" selected?

I got this with IE7. You must set it to 'Never Dial a connection' in the dialup settings, then it will stop.

Delete any old dial up connections ..if you no longer use them...so there is not an option for the dialer to pop up...maybe even if you do use a dial up connection....save your number somewhere and add a dial up connection only when you need it....it should be totally greyed out as an option if you have no dial up connection setup.

In your network area in XP...

Seems that after installing IE7 (and keeping Firefox) I can not open links from within emails (outlook express anymore).

Nothing happens when I click on a link.

Anyone else having a similar problem ?

1.07 is obsolete...1.5.0.1 is the current version.
