Sounds like the backstabber blaming the victim. Poland's only culpability was the geographical misfortune of being stuck between two totalitarian madmen.

The argument was actually regarding Poland blocking USSR-Western Allies alliance pre 1941. If that alliance did happen in 1939, Poland would not have been occupied.

Taking the history of Polish-Russian relations it's safe to say beign an ambasador to Poland is more like a punishment than asignment.

In our Swedish history books it said German soldiers disguised them as Polish soldiers and attacked some German post.

^ No, Germany asked for a marchthrough to Belgium, which was sadly denied.
When german troops still marched through Belgium to meet french troops, they were attacked by belgian troops, so they had to defend themselves.
Or something along those lines
