to those that have no clue what the TMAP is or don't want to ask I will. What is the TMAP and what does it do for us? :hmm:

Thermal Modelling Analysis Program

What it does... quite self explanatory I'd say RB!

Well, I guess you, RB, know it already. It´s a section that follows the 3d object´s vertex-, triangles- and texture coords data. It is used for occlusion, prelighting, selfillumination. The only access to this data is pure hex editing, at least atm.

Regards,
DD

I didn't know that DD, I haven't had a need to play with those (yet). Looks very interesting....:hmm:

TMAP has a lot of frustrating potential. I´m after it for about 8 months now. Let´s hope this promising step leads to the desired end.

Cheers,
DD

And here´s good news guys. I was able to create a TMAP section and attached it to FlakMonkey´s periscope well. As you can see on the screenie, there´s way to go. A new light map matching the mapping coords is needed. But it´s a start to begin with.

Regards,
DD
wonderful!

Moin JC,

ALIEN, LOL!!! :rotfl:

Yes, the "ALIEN" you see is the same periscope model as shown on FM´s screenie. It´s just disfigured beyond recognition by wrong selfillumination map + wrong texture indices used in the TMAP. But it´s the first time I got it up and running without beeing "foggy".

Regards,
DD

Lo DD, just one question!

If you make this work and you figure out how this is done, would it be easy to do this to all subs.
Or does every sub interieor need another approach?

Just courious here!:hmm:

Hey Myxale,

would be easier to wait for Skwasjer`s S3D import/export module.

DD
