By this time next month you will have to face the fact: You are an addict. You will look at trucks on the highway and start plotting targetting solutions in your head. You will here the the microwave go "PING" and start looking for ways out. You will hear the phone ring and shout "ALAAAARM". You will find yourself watching Das Boot at least once a month.

Welcome to our nightmare...but don't get me wrong, most of us wouldn't have it any other way.

Thanks Sailor Steve, and Andy... I truely love Sub Sims that draw you in... I mentioned my first love was Aces of the Deep.... and yes, I am an Addict... and "Das Boot" is my favorite sub movie... I also will not crumble to the two posts about not mentioning the "no" post... as I pay for what I use, and having the ability to play dvd/cd music while actually playing a game is my right (and my own business). If anyone including modirators have an issue with that, well... they can Ki*s my A*s...... I have standards to include not ripping off the folks that make the games I play. If I spend time plating a game, then those responsible should get some of my money. They have earned it.

In any case... I did want to say hi to those of you that have shared your experience with the public, it was not necessary, but you did it to help others... Good on you :-)

As to the two folks that wanted to bust me for having mentioned that I wiil use the "no" patch... kiss my hinnie.... I did not share the source, or mention the purpose.

Just because I am aware of the capabilities of add-ons of a game, and have read forums such as this, does not give you the right to be Internet Cops...... If on the other hand I had offered to share stuff I shouldn't have (legally), or had been verbous on that area... you should consider your responsibilities.

I "love" reviewing forums that are helpfull for a game I will play (and payed for), but consider the "net Cops" butts... and will publish my thoughts about them also.

In any case... I will receive SH3 (legallly) in about two or three business days. I will become addicted (I am sure).... but the couple of Net Cops that have posted on this thread are welcome to kiss my Bu*t.

And if you are the Bu*t reviewing my response... feel free to keep your non-helpful tongue in your mouth.

If you have nothing positive to say.... mouth being shut is a good thing.

CasperImproved.

I will

I hope nothing... I want to be a contributor to this forum, but don't like net cops....

I have seriously gained a lot of information for a game I haven't yet received.... but the net cops seriously annoy me.

I want them to either keep there toungs in there mouth, or be helpfull... and that is up to them....

Regards... CasperImproved.

And there are those that choose to keep their heads in the sand...

I don't want to keep the thread alive regarding my diss-likes... I want the folks that I intended to irratate, be irratated. But the rest of you to be as normal... helpful folks tht enjoy the game, and help the Noobs... :-)

As a guest in Neal's house (forum), I would like to suggest we follow his rules: http://www.subsim.com/phpBB/faq.php#0

If you wish to continue to post on these forums then following Neal's rules is a very good idea indeed. If you feel you can't follow these rules then I respectfully suggest that you find somewhere else to post.

Personal attacks on anyone are not allowed.

Personal attacks on Moderators are just plain dumb.

We'll call this strike two.

I suspect one of the main reasons talking about cracks, hacks, etc. is not allowed at this site is to avoid any prosecution or suspicion from people like the FBI and such, who have the authority to shut down a site that facilitates the spreading of these illegal activities. I don't want to have this site go away, so I hope those rules can be followed by everyone!

That is certainly one of the main reasons.

One of the other key reasons is that Neal wants this site to be a place where developers will come for feedback and input on their projects. If we allow Subsim to degenerate into the type of place where open discussion of hacks and cracks takes place that won't happen, and the community as a whole will suffer.

What a lot of people may not know is that the Beta team for most of the SH3 and DW patches was drawn from the people at Subsim. Why? Because the developers knew that they had pool of talented enthusiasts that support the legal and legitimate use of their product and that they could trust.

So while the discussion of no-CD hacks may seem innocent, it is the start of a slippery slope that we are just not going to go down. It is easier to draw a clear line in one place, and keep it from being crossed.

Thanks

Okay, I appologize.... enough said. I went overboard.

On the bright side, I should be receiving SH3 tomorrow... in which case I am sure to not be posting for a while.

Make sure that you turn "Sound Accelleration" down in DxDiag.

Start>>> Run>>> DxDiag>>> Sound Tab

Put the slider all the way to the left, or you may get some crashes.

Also do the Tutorials and watch the videos. Very helpful.

Enjoy and Good Hunting.
