What? W/ OO 2.0 you added functionality through the Open Document format. MS has been dragging their feet on this one, but they will be forced to join in the future.

OO 2.0 also has same number of boxes in a spreadsheet now at 65,535 where OO 1.4 only had 32,738. In the wordproc, I can only find grammer checker as the only thing possbly missed (Does anyone use this?) Abiword can be a quick fix for that, but I never use it anyway. Everything else has feature for feature that I can see, unless you can show me different?

You can even save in .doc or .xls if you need to send a file back to word or Excel. My Macro tests were even successful, but I did find one doc that had complex macros that didn't transfer perfectly (It was even hard to find since 99.9% of it did transfer correctly). Other than that one doc, everything is interchangable as far as I can see.

I've used Firefox since the 1st beta was released and haven't looked back. I only use IE when FF won't display a page properly, which is rare. And like Sonar732's wife, mine won't use FF because it's different, even though it's a lot faster than IE.

hehe my better half doesn't have a choice- as I installed the network and all of her pc's software, hence one day her browser changed to FF
her: eeuw, what's this browser thingy?
me: it's FF, use it, it's loads better than IE.
her: how do I use it?
me: same as before except you can use tabbed browsing and some other cool stuff.
her: what's that? (points at screen)
me: *sigh* something that makes your life easyer...
her: *frowns* eer, ok if you say so.

And despite the funky 'manage bookmarks' option, she just has one really really long list that just keeps on scrolling forever lol.

Honestly if it were left up to her, she'd still be using a 486 and windows '95.

I use 3 browsers. Opera for subsim. IX6 for kiwi sites and Firefox as a backup if the other two crash.

Its not the fault of Firefox, but is the fault of the web site programmer who doesn't have a clue about html!! He probably used Fontpage or something to make it.

I use Firefox. I really like tabbed browsing. I also really like opening and closing tabs by middle-clicking my mouse. It makes things more efficient. I love some of the extensions that are out. The ones I use are IE View (one of my favorites), Smiley Xtra, Download Manager Tweak, Adblock, and Adblock Filterset.G Updater. I used to have a bunch of themes, but have just stuck with the stock theme since the reinstall. I doubt I will use IE7 for a long time to come yet. There is no way I am installing anything with the words "beta" and "Microsoft" in it.
