I forgot all about that & just realized it wasn't implemented in GWX2.1. I remember using it back in the first TGW mod. Did a search & only found some threads on the reload probs that it caused and about the fix for it. I got to look closer in those threads-think the change might be just from altering some cfg lines in notepad but not sure & worried it might break some other issues in 2.1. Anyone else know for sure?

@KLCARROL---Thks for that--I did'nt realize there was a II "flackboat" out there

Default Dunkirk Raid

The End of U-17's adventures.

I timed it with SH3 commander to to leave port and get near Dunkirk in time for the great migration. When I "flew overhead" the port there in f12 I found a place loaded with fat troop ships & liners--perfect for a IIA harbor raid .........Unfourtunatly my brilliant deck crew forgot to inform me of the 5 to 6 DD's cruisng around near the port . I guess I approached too close to the port on a very clear sunny day at 128 tc & next thing I know I started hearing what sound like shells whizzing by. It finally jumped to 8 tc & looked around in external view & there were 3 DDS within hollering distance . With only a little blackened damage to my exterior deck I dived to get away & thus began the very quick demise of U-17.

After diving I realized I "jumped out of the frying pan into the Fire":

If negotiating a mine field & dealing with 5 DD's wasn't enough-the RAF decided to join in on the fun:

After what seemed like ages I finally was able to get away by constant turning my tail to them on silent running. As I watched them circle & depthcharge away about 5.000 ft away I was thinking to myself "thank god for the early war sensor ratings". After gloating a little--I jumped up to 128 tc to pass the time as a silently sailed away. My navigator & weatherman forgot to remind me that we were in dead calm seas of only abot 40 meters . All of a sudden I'm being Dc'd again:

Landing at my final resting place:

And a quick fade to black & the far traveling Canoe came to an end:

But as a saving grace my Exec was transferred right befor this & knowing he shared my ambition to tavel through the Med to the Indian Ocean--there still might just be a IIA "monsun" boat yet.
