True. But mythbusters is a poor source on this one. There's a big difference between damage incurred on a vessel as a result of underwater explosion than shooting a firearm projectile at a gas tank. If you look at many previous incidents involving external underwater explosions against oil tanker hulls (LTTE attack on the MV Silk Pride, AQ attack on the MV Limburg, etc.), the explosion usually rips open the hull and ignites the combustible cargo...very nice fire, but rarely an explosion.

Like I said, It is quite unlikely the cargo itself will explode. Fire on the other hand is the most likely result. But in SH3/GWX high temperature fuel fire doesn't sink ships.
