Really?

I see no deluxe soft toilet paper in the public toilets only that rough stuff.
If you want lower taxes, then perhaps a bring-your-own looroll system might be the answer.

Or a vending machine that charges you a few pence per square. The poor must do without.
Getting a pack of three for the weekend? Yea, three soft rolls of toilet paper. :rotfl:

Our dollar might be crap at the moment, but thank God we're not paying these sorts of taxes.

Well that was a clearly a British idea, since we in britain kept a window tax until the late 1980's. My parent's home, and where i grew up, is pretty old (ground floor in 1600s, next floor up in 1750) and there are bricked in windows because of this tax.

IIRC so was income tax, first levied to pay for the Napoleonic Wars.

Also they taxed wig powder too which caused the wearing of wigs to fall out of fashion.........so not all tax is bad clearly!:hmm:

I believe the window tax was bought back under our Labour government. :hmm:

Wasn't that only in Scotland?

Theyre was also a chimney tax at one time. More likely to fund a war or arms race,
then to clear the London smog.
