Well, whether you are out of range or not depends on what range you set in the radio.ini file for the station. I believe that 100000 will get you coverage around the world.
Are you certain there are music files in the first level of the Washington folder?

Thanks for the answer DT. I hope I'm not becomeing too big a pain in the @ss with this, but I just want to get it working. Let me explain exactly where I stand. When I open the "Radio" folder, there are two subfolders inside: One is CBS News, the other is Washington. If I open up the washington folder, there are some music files that I added, as well as the original music track that came with the game, and also another folder entitled "Events", which contains news events. The folder structure for CBS is the same, and contains similar items (commercials, and news events).

The only thing I did as stated in a previous post, was to add the Wash. info into the radio config. because it was not there, and changed the freq. from 22, to 40. I copied the info provided by RDP a couple of posts above.

When I tune the radio in, CBS plays fine. However, when the dial stops on freq.40, which is Wash., nothing plays. All you hear is the radio telemetry sound, that is heard while you're tuning in stations. I checked out the antenna settings, and I think they should be OK. Mabey you could glance at the info that RDP posted for me to copy(a couple of posts above this one) and see if something could be amiss. I really appreciate the help. I know this isn't a showstopper of a problem, but it has now become an annoyance that I would like to resolve. Thanks again.

Default I'm about to get stumped (and I hate that)

No rectal discomfort here, I understand perfectly what it's like for something not to work how you expect it to and wanting to get it rectifed.
I don't see anything amiss with RDPs info for addition to the radio.ini file. I also don't see anything wrong with the folder setup you described. I'm sure it will turn out to be something simple and we will all slap our foreheads and say "Doh!". Perhaps you could zip up your radio.ini file and host it somewhere or email it to me (you should be able to get my email address from my profile info or PM me and I'll get it to you). Sometimes it only takes one semicolon instead of a colon or some other trifling thing to completely mess it up and it's not always easily spotted.

Keep after it and we'll do all we can to get it to work.

Just came back to this. Strange how this is not working yet :hmm:, like the attitude though of keeping at it and not getting to frustrated. I have been busy with Real Life stuff so have not played much lately. I will test tonight, what I have posted earlier here to see if it is indeed working, the last I can recall it is. I have Wash, CBS and NBC Radio Stations installed.

Guys, I think I've got her working! I double checked the radio ini., and very carefully compared the CBS info and the Wash. info. Believe it or not, I noticed that in the CBS antenna values, there was a (-) in a specific area between two values. When I compared that to the info I copied for Wash., I noticed that I applied a decimal instead. I changed the (.) to a (-), and success! The radio tuned to freq.40, and began to play the tracks I installed. Gentlemen, I think this case is closed. Thanks again for all your help!

Ok just tried the following from my radio settings and it worked fine. One thing to remember is that the Washington Station is not much for programming ( unless you add some in, I added 5 Minute Mysteries to give it a little more substance ) it is more for events, news. Where as NBC and CBS have both events and programming.

Thus when you select Washington, you may only here the music track that comes with stock, that's it. Sometimes this can give the impression at first that it does not work, however play for a bit and you will get the news\events, etc.

Anyway here are my settings that I just tested:

[GENERAL]
RadioRealism=Yes
StartCh=1

[CHANNEL]
Name=Washington
Folder=Washington
Freq=22
Antenna=01.01.1930-01.01.2000:44.16,-35.10:100000
;MusicVolumeOnNews takes values from 0.01 to 1
MusicVolumeOnNews=0.4

[CHANNEL]
Name=CBS NEWS
Folder=CBS NEWS
Freq=30
Antenna=01.01.1930-01.01.2000:34.05,-118.22:100000
;MusicVolumeOnNews takes values from 0.01 to 1
MusicVolumeOnNews=0.01

[CHANNEL]
Name=NBC
Folder=NBC
Freq=40
Antenna=01.01.1930-01.01.2000:44.16,-35.10:100000
;MusicVolumeOnNews takes values from 0.01 to 1
MusicVolumeOnNews=0.1

Edit: Just noticed you got it working, lol, good news I will leave what I posted just in case.

Just like coding of any kind, it only takes one little zig where a zag should be to render the entire thing FUBAR. Congrats on getting it sorted out
