This a tough one as i really get attached to my VIIB that i have at the start of my career. Slick and dives nice and fast and has a good range of nice skins to go with it but i really the the bigger Type IXC and the IXD2 loads more torpedos longer range and more chance of finding danger. It is a real tough one.:hmm: :hmm:

1) VIIC
2) IXD2
3) XXI
4) IID

VIIC is good... Short patrol... Fast diving speed... Many fish

IXD2 is due to its large load of fish and fuel... A set back is the diving speed

XXI is due to its advanced technogy... Set back is impossible to obtain one (except using trainners or use SH3 commander to give me this boat when I join Bdu)

IID is due to its short patrol time and I can do a patrol every month... unlike IXB... which I need to crawl to American coast and crawl back...

Love the VIIC for it's versatility.

Well I had a XIB that I added all the extras to and hated because it didn't have the range. I went back 11 patrols and reloaded the patrol before I upgraded.

This time I upgraded to a VIIC and attempted again to get into Scapa Flow. I had been driven off several times in my IX. This On my lucky 13th patrol I sank the King George and totaled over 101.000 tons.

Guess I'll refuel and rearm in Wilhemshaven and try Loch Ewe.

I do like the Type IID.

What would be ideal is if there were a Type XXIII in the game. Very maneuverable, fast, but a short range boat with just 2 eels.

A seehund and a biber would be cool also...
