I REALLY hope Obama is the Christ Like Messiah that the media has made him out to be.

However, since he is a democrat with a plan to screw anyone who works for a living in order to support those people who want to sit around and get "crunk" all day... its hard for me to be hopeful... especially when im on the eve of opening my own business.

tough times ahead.... i might be shot down before i even get off the ground.

I can't believe you guys are being so snarky about it after such a good concession speech by McCain. How different would it have gone had his whole campaign been like this. He's done a great job, and he really transcended partisan politics in a way he should've tried for more of the campaign.

He said "the failure is mine and not yours". What he really should've said is "the failure is my campaign managers' and not yours". As much as I didn't support McCain at all, I feel slightly more sad that he lost after this. I think we saw a McCain tonight that really could've won. He doesn't deserve to take the blame here - the ones that do are his campaign managers, whoever made him more partisan and confrontational, and whoever suggested Palin to him.

Big respect to him. I hope he keeps up the good work in the senate, that's all I'll say.

Obama ran a tight ship meanwhile. No surprises there. But I really am disgusted by the continued partisan sentiment here. Come on now, here's a chance for a real historical moment in the US, and you're being baselessly and tastelessly snarky. For shame.

Really? I don't think people are being any more snarky than the Democrats were in '00 and '04. Considerably less so in fact iirc.

After all somehow i doubt we'll see the GoP stealing the W's off the White House computers (or in Hillarys case trying to steal the furniture) and being law and order types, they are far less likely to go rioting in the streets because their man lost.

Personally I see the wind being taken out of any further accusations of racism amongst the mainstream white Americans.
