The Problem is not the Grafikcard.

Well either it is the Graphics Card or its drivers.

How about a list of your hardware?

Eeeek ugly. The smoke in Half Life 2 looked like that to me when i had my Radeon HD2600XT. HD series suck bad, thats one of the reasons i get rid off it and bought a nVidia 8600GT (same performance, but no problems). Try looking for newer drivers and the latest DirectX

I remember this problem sometime back. I'm pretty sure it has to do with TMO. My suggestion would be to install either P.E.4 or E5. It will make everything look much better.

I think it will fix it. If I remember right, it is the particles.dat file.

you have a corruption in the game files, uninstall the game and delete the sh4 folder in documents then make sure you delete the ubisoft folder in programs. (the point is to delete all remaining folders pertaining to sh4)

now reinstall the game and your mods (if you have a backup copy of the stock data folder then you can save some time by just delete it and replace it with the backup copy)

Hey, is this the only way? Webster do you have a idea, what kind of file make the problem? The Fire is the only problem in the game. The smoke an the water and so on looks great.

If you have that much corruption I would recommend a re-install.

Who knows what else is wrong.
