I love using the nav map and plotting ship directions, etc. adds much more realism and builds your skills! I am glad they took the tails and colors off. makes you take a close look at the flags too for identification.

Something you (and not many others) might like is the 'Assisted Plotting Mod'. It removes all contacts from the map. Then, if you move the cursor around, when it passes over a ship you will see a dashed circle. Clicking on the circle gets you a notice: "Unknown". If you lock onto a ship with the periscope and ID it, all the info will show up on the attack map, but it will be for that ship only.
