Cell phones more dangerous than smoking. Yes, no?

Sorry, i guess my initial reply was a little arrogant, i live not too far from a cell phone mast and since the mast was errected ive had to put up with almost constant protests etc, from various groups claiming its a danger to a school (thats 0.5 mile from the mast).
These folks may have a valid concern but knocking on my door at 8am to ask me to sign a petition really isnt going to get me on their side.

To answer the thread`s question i dont think its anywhere near as dangerous as smoking, smoking is proven to cause cancer and many other serious health complaints whereas the majority of research conducted on the subject of cell phone radiation has yet to show any link between cell phones and increased instances of tumors.

This is exactly where the author of this study disagrees with you, and says: that evidence is there. Mind you, what he did was a meta-study, so he analysed not his own reasearch results, but analysed the data of over 100 already existing studies. and as the article says, French and German governments have ooficially called for minimizing cellphone use (especially by children), and so did the EU as well. considering how slow and fatalistic politicians are to produce such obvious steps of action, I assume they did so by seeing according data. And as I said from my subjective experience, studies showing that there might be a health risk involved that is considerable already were to be find in the early 90s.
