Cool idea- it'd be great to have something like SH and IL-2 be able to play together nicely some day. Different engines and all I know, but to have all the elements together like that would add many days ( if not years) of exploring

For that extra touch of realism add the odd chance that even friendly planes will mistake you for an enemy sub and attack. Sadly, not an uncommon occurance given poor inter-service communications during the war's early years.
