Oh, one other thing: Make yourself a copy of Hitman's Kriegsmarine whiz-wheel:
http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=114351

Very useful for manual targeting, or even if you don't do manual targeting it is useful for figuring out intercept courses and such.

The front side is copied from an actual device used in u-boats, while the back side is an interpretation of what they might have used, based on the front.

I don't remember the last time I actually played SH3, but it has to be over a year. I'm just not that interested anymore. Part of that translates into not being too interested in SH4, either. The other part is greatly influenced by the bugs. I am currently waiting for the final GWX update to start up SH3 again.

Maybe you guys just aren't really into submarines. I play it for the history and the feel, and that's certainly not for everybody. No shame in that.

Just watch some WW2 sub documentrys on Youtube or DVD if you have them,that usually gets me in the mood,not that I need much stick prodding I recently had a CTD in the middle of a really good career and that made me see my arse so much I didn't touch GWX for a week,just got so pissed off but when I did come back to it,it made me more determined than ever to do even better

Go flight simmin until the final GWX comes out . There's nothing wrong with being burnt out by other games. Thats why I have a variety of sim games to play.

Variety is the spice of life.

@Mooncatt

Work is currently underway on a GWX update (v1.04) I am quite confident that if you were impressed with v1.03, then !.04 will astound you

You guys, and the OP, are doing a disservice to the new talent cropping up at the SH4 modding community.

Anyway I am sure we will all love GWX 1.04
