lost the itch

well i used to be really active here on the forums. but i have lost the itch for sh3 and GWX. I havent played it since xmas 2006. id love some advice to get the itch back again, i know its a great game (prolly one of the best ever released) but there comes a time when you have done everything there is to do in a game. i tried sh4....which was inho not a scratch on GWX in fact i hated sh4. i run a 6800 ultra with 1.2 gig mem speed and the gfx were still jaggy and crap and the game play wasnt even half and immersful (if thats a word) as gwx. HEEEEELLLLP.

You will be wanting to come back for GWX 1.4. Some new eye candy, ships and even better detail than before. This is the final update, so they're going out on a high!

You've gotta get an itch for the final throw of the dice by the Grey Wolves! Check out some of the sneak peeks in this thread: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...ght=sneak+peak

By all accounts be prepared for more socks being blown off...

Eh I think it's normal really. I vacillate a lot between flightsims and SH3 - right now I'm really digging my current SH3 career but yet I haven't done any serious flightsimming for some months now.

Oh, one other thing: Make yourself a copy of Hitman's Kriegsmarine whiz-wheel:

Very useful for manual targeting, or even if you don't do manual targeting it is useful for figuring out intercept courses and such.

The front side is copied from an actual device used in u-boats, while the back side is an interpretation of what they might have used, based on the front.

I lost the itch once as well, Subic bay.
Good thing the medic was a friend of mine.:arrgh!:

I don't remember the last time I actually played SH3, but it has to be over a year. I'm just not that interested anymore. Part of that translates into not being too interested in SH4, either. The other part is greatly influenced by the bugs. I am currently waiting for the final GWX update to start up SH3 again.:arrgh!:

Maybe you guys just aren't really into submarines. I play it for the history and the feel, and that's certainly not for everybody. No shame in that.:sunny:

Just watch some WW2 sub documentrys on Youtube or DVD if you have them, that usually gets me in the mood, not that I need much stick prodding;) I recently had a CTD in the middle of a really good career and that made me see my arse so much I didn't touch GWX for a week, just got so pissed off:nope: but when I did come back to it,it made me more determined than ever to do even better:arrgh!:
