Ok hello again...

Right, the Taihosan fix simply replaces 1.3 versions of NKSCS_Taihosan.dat and NKSCS_Taihosan.zon with the two files from version 1.0.

You should also know, I did not test replacing each on their own, so if someone could do that, that would be great.

This fix replaces the new damage model - which appears to have a bug that causes CTD with the old 1.0.

So while you can damage and sink the Taihosan now, you will find the superstructure and masts are not destructable - an unfortunate side-effect.

The ship engine horsepower mod is fixed by changes to the NKSCS_Taihosan.sim file which simply gives the engine more power, and as I haven't touched that, it should be fine.. (the NKSCS_Taihosan.sim is a 1.3 patch file).

Whereas, if you are using the realistic sinking mod of Werner, you MAY need to increase the hitpoints of the Taihosan by editing the 1.0 version of the zon file.

I am afraid I don't have time to test much at the moment - work etc, so if someone wants to see if either the zon or the dat from version 1.0 will fix it on its own, be my guest.. I just took both as it looked like a 3D model / damage problem.
