Hey,
Its curious they would change course at the last minute. Do you think that they were avoiding your ambush because they somehow detected you on passive sonar? Or were you near some land geography that would encourage them to turn (like turning at the last leg of a voyage toward a port)? |

Those southbound convoys do tend to zigzag a lot. In my experience they change course every 50km or so....I did once have them change course to cross my bow with the escorts way out of position so course changes are't all bad....if you're lucky
