How often will you get offered a new boat?? Will you be offered a new type again if you turn it down the first time?? And how do you prevent getting transferred in case you take the offer of a new boat??

Last time I took a new boat I landed by butt in Pearl. Talk about a long ass haul to the war zone.
I'm still running around with a Salmon called USS Seal. It's early 43 if I recall correctly.

![]() Yes, if you turn down a new ship commission you will get later opportunities.
You may even be forcibly transferred into a new class as well when your current class are 'phased out' and you have some sort of 'superior dedication'...is all I can remember from that screen. It happened to me once with a S-boat career. Something like this: The navy no longer sees fit to keep your class of boats in service, however for your superior dedication and meritious service to your country and navy you have been given a valubable position atop one of the latest models off of the assembly line. |

I like the Gato, personally. The only real reason I upgraded from the USS Porpoise is because I wanted more torpedo tubes.... Chuck |
