More than just fertilizer bombs

As a killing weapon, dirty bombs are pretty worthless.


As a terror weapon, however, they are excellent, especially when the media gets their hands on the info.

Economic weapon is their best use.

Since 11/9 they did studies about the effect of one in a financial or government centre such as central london, new york and washington.

The studies mainly found only 5-10 people killed in initial blast, maybe 20-30 as a result later of contamination (depending on weather, time of day, location etc) but the cleanup resulting in total evacuation for months or longer of the area, the possible demolition, cleaning the earth etc and lost business from that could be measured in tens of billions of dollars.

I thought dirty bombs were planes flying over cities dropping pornos? Or is that carpet dirty bombing?
