U-48
Sept 1940
AL25
Amidst convoy in heavy fog... what else is new

Just returned from eye-catching, but ultimately uninspiring trip to the Pacific.

Lots of double turncoats are coming back. I guess those Lucky Strikes and Chesterfield cigarettes don't measure up.

Welcome back comrades.

U-109 update:
Feb 14 1940
Location: DJ15, somewhere NW of Casablanca

Tally thus far:
2 tankers
10 merchants
3 DDs (V&W, Tribal, Black Swan)
Tonnage: about 77,000

Eels left: 2

RTB, hoping to expend last eels on targets of opportunity along the way.

Back from the Pacific...nice views but nothing much else for the moment. Ahhh...nothing better than a nice cold, wet, windy storm to wake you up in the morning! Just starting a new career after reinstalling SH3...old career got to 1944 with about 10 patrols under my belt and a majority of the medals. Just discovered the wonders of GWX so will be stuck with that for a while I think!

Thank you.

Feb 20, 1940: U-109 now docked at Wilhlemshaven.
Kaluen was awarded Knight's Cross for yet another successful patrol.
Crew is looking forward to 3 week's shore leave before we set off on our 5th patrol.
