I sailed in a single mission to the sea of celebes but decided to scrap it and visit my home town, Darwin in northern australia, and on the 20th of feb, I ran into the carrier group that had just bombed darwin and was heading for ceylon.

Awesome!

Re: Post #5

Is that light coming out of the portholes on that Carrier?

Sorry to bother you North Americans, I am but a humble European who hasn't got their copy of SH4 yet. Despite it being made here.

I ran in to a large Japanese Task Force on my first patrol. Bagged two fleet carriers after they practically sailed into mt lap. Loved the explosions and watching the star shells burst all over the place. Good show!

On my second patrol out of Manila I ran into a task force consisting of an Ise class, a Fuso class and two Kongo class battleships, plus change (meaning four heavy cruisers, three light cruisers and a ****load of destroyers) - Didn't want to try my luck, so I decided to go for the Ise class ship - weakest underwater protection and put my last 4 torps in the forward tubes into her, while at the same time firing both my last aft torps into the Furutaka running on parallel course...

Torps hit, both went down, and I was just sitting there, praying, as the entire task force stopped and sat there for half an hour... but I got home to Soerabaya at last..
