I took command of USS Silversides and left Pearl on June 3rd, RACING northwest to Midway


i thought i missed the fight, but then a Val came out of the northwest

i followed it back....

and came upon NAGUMO

i was SHOCKED

I had two fuso battleships travelling in the same task force accompied by loads of heavy cruisers and two oil tankers. ;)

i ran into a Fuso at the end of a patrol, with no torps :rotfl:

then i ran into a Kongo, but i couldnt get a good setup on her

much improvement in naval activity over SH3

turned stern tubes towards her beam, fired all 4

On my first ever patrol I ran into a task force and sunk 2 Kongo's

That took alot of torpedoes let me tell ya..

i got way lucky

wen i ran into em they were off my starboard quarter

i almost rammed the carrier :rotfl:

i saw a secondf and a Kongo nearly ran me over but i couldnt reload easy, and to be honest i wanted out of there before those DDs found me:rotfl:

i continued on to my patrol area south of the Inland Sea, and sank 7 more ships, attacking 2 convoys

especially in that weather, i also am reminded how easy it is to mistake a cruiser for a battleship and a light cruiser for a heavy, as i first thought the CL was a BB, then a CA :ping::rotfl:
