I don't think people should get freaked out about having to have a super high end system in order to play and enjoy SH4. My worry (which has now been addressed by Ubisoft) was that when they were posting 512MB RAM as a minimum spec, they were creating a false sense of security for those with low end systems.

SH4 will not run on a low end system. You need a mid range Nvidia/Ati card or higher, at least 1 GIG of RAM and a decent processor. That said, if you only have a Pentium P4 and something like an Nvidia 6800 video card, you can run and enjoy this game at very decent graphical settings.

I honestly don't think anyone took that seriously. Most gamers disregard the posted "minimum" specs and focus on the "recommended" specs as a benchmark. That 512MB was more than likely ignored outright from the very onset.

I agree with you, Flintlock. My concern was for the folks who found their way here who are not gamers as such and who have less powerful systems.
