Real I-boats retract for one reason: they're in port (or on the surface, same thing.)
That's probably why there's no mod for it. Not many missions happen in port. |

I thought they retract bow planes because of ice when surfacing, when under ice pack..

The Virginia isn't even modeled in the game, and the Typhoon is in the game, but not playable.

Since someone noted that planes are retracted in ports, I guess pretty much all subs can retract them.
