I spent too many hours in college playing RSR when I should have been studying...

SeaQueen - can you expound upon this statement: "My first computer naval sim was Red Storm Rising. In all honesty, it's internals are more sophisticated than a lot of models the Navy uses today for simulation."?
I've often wondered what was behind RSR in terms of tactics and database-type information. Do you know anyone who has managed to decompile the game? Or was an SDK released at some point?
