the reason:

Supermods are the same as spiderwebs, if you break it by changing files the game will not run properly or not even at all.

the solution:

Create Dual Installs with SH3, 1 for the BOTM and 1 for GWX

How to create a Dual install:

Uninstall SH3 tottally
*reinstall SH3
*change the Folder name of SH3 to for example SH3BOTM
*Run the setup of ur SH3 DVD/CD ROM again and click Repair.
*by doing that the setup will completly creates a new SilenthunterIII folder next to the SH3BOTM one.
*now patch them both to 1.4b and install the Expansionpack and Supermod GWX on them.

All X1 animosity aside, I think GWX makes that product obsolete as that "Battle of the Med" product came out quite a while ago and GWX was just released. GWX does everything that the X1 pack does, and a whole lot more. For free.

You forgot to mention danlisa, Stabiz, joea, CWorth and konovalov. Let´s take an example, you are buying a car that costs $10,000, some guy comes to you and says to buy the car next to it costing $8,000 but still is way better and has more features than the car you were first buying. Now, isnt that helping?

A decent way? Can you tell me it´s history? Well, I know that CombatPlanes/GMX (or something like that) made an pay-to-play addon for IL2. They promised new planes etc. but in reality, the "new planes" were using stock models, just the name was changed. Also, they promised Battle Of Britain..... which was fought in the Gulf of Finland in said addon. There you have some history about them and their quality addons.
