that is common problem when you save near others ships, sunk ships and ports => it can cause corrupted save game which always crashes the game.

Recommended distance for saving is min. 50 km from other ships and ports iirc.
I also make new save game for saving to not corrupt previous save game file so I can use it for return to previous position in case of corrupted save game to not lose whole patrol (dont use the same save game for saving for whole mission).

Old Sh3 game bug, not an SH3 Commander bug. Saving under water is also bugged. The latest NYGM edition has finally solved the saves problem.

@HW3 I Have GWX, Should I Get NYGM? I think they are two super mods, so not at all but damn, that sucks.

To avoid corrupted saves, I highly recommend to have only one megamod installed at a time on a very cleaned PC (no laptop) and the less background applications running as possible …
SH3 Commander is not bugged at all, it’s a wonderful must have application, certainly the best ever for SH3!
Here, for testing purposes, I often save close to harbors, underwater or not, very close to convoys etc without reloading problems
But each one’s PC is always different…
