Watch crew not on deck

next time, please post your JSGME mod list so that we can see what your playing config is. it helps to understand your situation at the time of your problem.

That, along with other graphic and sound anomalies is caused by "shelling-out" to Windows, while the game is running, even when "Paused". This can happen if you go to look at your email, or use the calculator, or even the system itself popping up one of its infamous systray or "notifications" messages such as "No threats were found..." from the last Defender scan... As soon as you see the issue, do as KM says, and Save the game, exit the game, re-start the game, load the Save, and hopefully continue without issue. If you do continue to have issues, then his #2 would be called for, or possibly re-start with an earlier Save and lose the progress of the career thus far... deleting the Save folder wipes-out everything
