May be Bellin is not even a village or city, it is a region afaik; only village there is "Fehrbellin" which comes from "Fähre" ("ferry" of Bellin). There is also "von Battenberg" and "Calenberg-Grubenhagen-Goettingen", where Battenberg became "Mountbatten", in England.

It seems my grandfather despised this nobility nonsense, on the other hand a "von..." does not necessarily mean a title, it maybe just a name hinting of where a person comes from, geographically.
Could be worse, imagine being called a "de Pfeffel" (of german Suebia)

Let England love its monarchy, i'm quite happy this nonsense has stopped here

My family name was "Americanized" by a bored clerk on Ellis Island.

It was most likely "Zemen" but there's also a chance it could have been

which "tracks" because I used to be a whiz with programable ladder logic.

According to some Danish newspaper King Charles III did not make a good gestus.

There's a video clip which have made many people..not angry mostly disappointed I must say.

In the video clip you can see how King Charles III is moving his right hand and make a face to one of his helper(not the correct word)

May he be loved by the British people.

Just after 4pm (UK time) and the BBC commentary team following the Queen's funerary cortege have only just twigged that it won't be reaching Edinburgh any time soon (it's now just south of Perth).

It takes roughly 4 hours by road at approx 60 mph to get to Edinburgh from Aberdeen. The cortege isn't travelling at 60. Assuming they'd only take 6 hrs to get to Edinburgh from Balmoral was a bit naive.

The Queen’s coffin has arrived in Edinburgh, where thousands of people are waiting at the city's Royal Mile.

The funeral cortege has been making a six-hour journey from Balmoral Castle, with the Palace of Holyroodhouse the final destination.

Silent onlookers threw floral tributes in the path of the coffin along the route.

The coffin will be flown to London on Tuesday, and the Queen will lie in state at Westminster Hall from Wednesday.

The Queen’s funeral will be held in Westminster Abbey on Monday 19 September - it will be a bank holiday.

Ultimately it took nearly 7 hours to travel from Balmoral to Holyrood Palace. Evidently they put the pedal down once they got past Perth.

Better crowd turn out than I was expecting, which is good. Unfortunately the drone couldn't follow the cortege through Aberdeen because it would have crossed the flightpath for Dyce Airport. If anyone was wondering why the drone stopped and drifted north, that's the reason.

I've already seen people on Twitter complaining about a lack of Union flags being waved by the crowd. Apart from a hardcore, most people up here feel no need to wave a bit of bunting around just to show their patriotism.

(An off topic comment but still within the Royalist)

In a Danish article it was said that the British people didn't knew who our Danish Queen was-The reporter showed them a picture to the people on the street In London.

The Reporter said to them that she is now the longest sitting Queen still alive-50 Years on the throne and fully fresh with some back problems.

The Article also told me that some Queens are more known than others..
Back to discussing the New King Charles III

(End of and off topic comment...)

I can understand how he feels. Who ever was in charge of this ceremony messed up. That table is way too small for such a ceremony. The principal should never have to move stuff or work around stuff in order to sign official documents like this. The only things that should ever be moved are the documents itself.

You never place the principal in a situation where anything has to be moved awkwardly. That's why you have someone practice before hand.

Come on aids, this is day one stuff.

I have only run ceremonies for high ranking military and DoD civilians and even I know this stuff.

What? Was the the only table they had????

It's only a comet one of billions out there.

Flags on British government buildings around the world are flying at full-mast once again, as the period of national mourning following the death of Queen Elizabeth II draws to a close.

The Queen was buried in a private ceremony in Windsor on Monday evening, following a state funeral in London and military procession to Windsor Castle.

But the Royal Family will continue to observe another week of mourning.

Senior royals are not expected to carry out any public duties during this time.

Flags at royal residences will remain at half-mast until 08:00 BST on 27 September - the day after their mourning period ends.

Buckingham Palace has said royal household staff, representatives of the household on official duties and troops committed to ceremonial duties will also observe the extended mourning.
