Hello!
The Silent Hunter map is an equirectangular projection by its properties. Since the SH5 map is the SH5 World, one minute of arc of any parallel and any meridian in the SH5 world is exactly 2 kilometers. At the same time, the speed log reading must be multiplied by 1.852 km to find out your speed in kilometers per hour. All these facts get along well together in the silent hunter world and do not interfere with navigation.
