You are hitting either mines or sub nets. Follow the lead of the escort. (The ship in front of you)

Or simply remove the minefields/anti-subnets using the editor.The ones in the friendly ports serve no purpose in game other than making leaving port a major hassle.You never have your port attacked by enemy surface ships or subs so the mines and nets are useless to even be there.

So you can either remove them manually or I believe there is a SCR layer file that is included with the GW mod that has no Minefields/subnets in freindly ports that you can use if you want.

I believe when installing GW it asks if you want the mine & nets in friendly ports removed.
