Thank you all very much for your willingness to share this information. In my opinion, implements like this significantly increase the immersion of the game.
In truth, I don't even have Silent Hunter III yet. It's on order from Amazon and because I received free shipping on the order (the missus bought some children's books), I'm going to have to wait a bit. The best things in life are worth waiting for, right? ![]() I used to play Aces of the Deep many years ago on my old Pentium I 200Mhz. I've tried a couple of low-budget sub sims over the years, but was unimpressed. Nothing, at least in my opinion, compared to AotD. Everything I've read about SHIII, however, leads me to believe that my quest for a good sub sim may be over. I'm certainly excited about the prospect of manual targeting, thus my interest in this thread and subsequent registration on this forum. Thanks again for posting this information! David |
