The Wolves of Steel: Bugs, glitches and issues thread

Hi guys,

I just came back to SH5. Unfortunately my game crashes as soon as I start a campaign. Clicking on start campaign lets me see the loading screen for 3 seconds and then I am back at the desktop.

1. I installed SH5
2. I launched SH5, exited.
3. Replaced the SH5.exe with the one in the pdf.
4. installed TWoS
5. Applied the patches

Did I miss something?

You should finish the installation first AND THEN replace the .exe.

SO

1.Install TWoS
2. Install optional Mods
3. Replace SH5.exe
4. Have fun!

from TWOS Manual:

If you own Uplay download version of the game, you'll have to perform manual sh5.exe replacement before you proceed to TWoS installation

huh, weird. It worked for me the way I did it above.

Not good.Your exe file is unpached then. Install instructions are quite clear regarding this.

Which is the correct order to install Optionals mods? JSGME shows the optionals mods in alphabetic order......

I don't know whether it is a bug or glitch, but noticed there's no bow wake of Z Ship in TWOS. Any suggestions how to add it?
p.s. ship's name in SilentHunter5/data/sea: NLGH

Light ship is always static in the campaign so she doesn't really need any kind of bow wake IMO...

Ahoy kapitans I'm not sure if this is a bug or something but since I woke up and played this morning, pressing the E button only showed the recognition manual. It doesn't show the other box where I can select charts. Though im pretty sure i know where I put it last night. And i never changed anything. Any ideas?

There is no required order for optional mods. Note that the answer you've quoted is incorrect. Check out install instructions pdf...
