The Wolves of Steel: Bugs, glitches and issues thread

1. Operating System, System spec?

windows 10

2. Version of the game ? (DVD, Uplay download, Steam, other ?)

Uplay when game loads says version 1.2.0

3. Confirm that your game is updated to official v1.2.0 version and that the vanilla game works without problems.

Game runs vanilla no problems

4. If you use any non-TWoS custom mods, remove them, reinstall your game/TWoS completely according to install instruction, start new campaign and make sure that the issue still persist!

Done

5. Confirm that the Generic Patcher is correctly activated and the snapshot is successfully restored (Install instructions, step 2).

This is where my issue lies even without adding further mods I get a notification saying;
D:/Silent Hunter\sh5.exe is different version than expected!

Patch:
Independent engine controls
Change 2
Reason: Bytes read does not equal bytes expected by patch
Bytes expected: C3CCCCCCCCC3CCCCCCCCC
3CCCCCCCC

And this was noticed after second attempt of reinstalling (from fresh) the first time I missed it and loaded the game loaded to main menu but when loading the campaign it CTD.
I have closed play during install and also closed down my AV to make sure they didn't cause issues and everything was also ran as admin.

Not too worried about this issue,
"Other issue is I couldn't use the KSDC commander as play would pop up asking for a key and even when loading in the key it says its in use"

Any help would be great thanks.

Hi CaptainNige. I can see that you didn't take a look into TWoS install instructions. Check them out and reinstall the game+mod. You need sh5.exe replacement for Uplay digital download version. https://www.subsim.com/radioroom/dow...o=file&id=4861
