It was difficult but is was doable and was done several times, even between u-boats (ex: Type VIIc and a IX). One was returning but had torpedoes to spare and the other was going on patrol and already had shoot a few. One method that was recorded in photos was rapping a torpedo with the live-jackets/escape apparatus so it would float (or at least help the torpedo not sink) and cables. |

Interesting. From a tactical point of view extremely dangerous as it will bind two boats for quite a while and make them vulnerable.
